Created while at MAD Architects in collaboration with 2x4, this project explores how signage and architecture interact. The Cloudscape of Haikou in China's Hainan Province is a remarkable structure resembling natural forms, capturing light to create enchanting displays. Our goal with the signage was to complement this airy feel, using simple fonts and symbols. Made from aluminium, the signs subtly catch the seaside light, enhancing the building's concrete surfaces.
